rather extreme, don't you think?

By this I mean the undecided decision to make my alma mater, a single-sex school, into a co-ed one, which simply means, from an all-boys school to a school for both girls and boys.

I'm not against the opposite gender or anything, neither am I against the people making this decision. In fact, I would have supported this decision, had it not been for the long untouched school tradition: no girls. For 129 years to be exact. I mean, the introduction of the 'smarter species' into the school would be good; the boys have something else to look forward to, ahem; overall school academic performance would excel; and many other practical benefits waiting to be discovered.

But, I still think the not-yet-announced decision is rather extreme. 129 years is a long time for a tradition to be around, in Singapore at least. At the very least, there are quite a few with me not standing for this. Please help.
